Call to Order
Larry Bittner, President, called LJPOA to order at 10:10 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010.
The minutes of the June 18, 2010 were reviewed.
- Motion was made by Jane Tomaszewski to accept the minutes.

Treasurer's Report:
Dorothy Yakes presented the treasurer's report that included the June 30, 2010 month ending Balance Sheet and the
Revenue and Expense Statements.
- Motion made by Rodger Shutter to accept the statements as presented.
- Motion second by Jane Tomaszewski

Dorothy then presented the check summary for review and approval for checks written through June 18, 2010.
- Motion made by Jim Preczewski to accept the check summary as reported.

Delinquent Dues:
Rodger reported there are twenty-five (25) homeowners that are still delinquent.
Of these, four (4) are in foreclosure and six (6) are in the court process.
Dam Report:
Dam is being monitored daily.
Fish Report:
No report at this time.
Weeds Report:
The lake was treated for milfoil on June 28, 2010 with the dam area being sprayed on July 6 and 7. On July 28, the lake was sprayed for algae.
Ray Van Goethem, President of Aquatic Nuisance Plant Control submitted a proposal for a Fall Milfoil treatment
for Lake James I and Shadow Lake.. The cost of treating 8.38 acres in Lake James I plus 5.25 acres in Shadow Lake
(13.63 acres) x $850.00/acre equals $11,585.50. This spraying would be a two-part treatment, with each ½ treatment
being done approximately 10 to 14 days apart. This same procedure was completed in the Fall 2009.
- Motion was made by Jane Tomaszewski to proceed with the spraying of both Lake James 1 and Shadow at an additional cost of $11,585.50 for the fall milfoil.

Rocco also reported that he has a form for all association members who are interested in having their lily pads
sprayed. This form will be available at the annual meeting. Spraying will be in September. All transactions will
be directly between Aquatic Nuisance and the homeowner.
Parks Report:
Jim reported that there is still vandalism within our parks. Not quite sure how to curb this other than asking for
Denton Police help. Damaged picnic tables are in the process of being repaired.
Events Report:
No report.
New Business:
Larry and Stan Watkins are to meet with Craig Cotterman on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 to discuss the legal issues
regarding our geese population and how we can rid ourselves of this nuisance.
There was also some discussion of starting up fish beds in Denton Creek beyond Shadow Lake. Larry and Stan will be checking into this and a report will follow.
