Call to Order
Larry Bittner, President, called LJPOA to order at 3:05 p.m., Friday, June 18, 2010.
The minutes of the May 17, 2010 were reviewed.
- Motion was made by Larry Bittner to accept the minutes.
- Motion second by Jane Tomaszewski.
- Board Motion Vote: I's All Nays - 0 -
Treasurer's Report:
Dorothy Yakes presented the treasurer's report that included the May 31, 2010 month ending Balance Sheet and the
Revenue and Expense Statements.
- Motion made by Rodger Shutter to accept the statements as presented.
- Motion second by Jim Preczewski
- Board Motion Vote: I's All Nays - 0 -
Dorothy then presented the check summary for review and approval for checks written through June 18, 2010.
- Motion made by Gene D'Andrea to accept the check summary as reported.

Delinquent Dues:
Rodger reported there are thirty-one (31) homeowners consisting of forty (40) properties that are still delinquent.
The breakdown is as follows:
5 - Homeowners making payments
3 - Homes are in foreclosure
11 - Delinquent for the current year 2009-2010
12 - Delinquent more than one year and have liens on their property
Dam Report:
Due to work obligations, Larry reported for Pat that the dam is being monitored daily. At present, two boards
have been removed because of the high water level.
Fish Report:
No report at this time.
Weeds Report:
Rocco reported that the three-year contract with Aquatic Nuisances comes to an end this fall. Bids will be going
out in the near future. No definite date has been set for the weed spraying thus far.
Parks Report:
Jim reported the park benches are still in need to be repaired and painted. This project will more than likely be
completed during the fall.
Events Report:
Jane reported that currently three homeowners have registered their boat for the parade to take place on Saturday,
July 3. Staging area will begin at the Red Pole Barn at 11:00 a.m. Pre-registration of all boats participating in
the parade is highly recommended, as it will help stop some of the congestion at the staging area. Parade will
kick off from the Pole Barn at 11:30 a.m. with a hot dog roast immediately following at the Pole Barn at 12:30 p.m.
Brian, from Brian's Small Engines, and a lake owner, will once again sponsor the parade.
Larry reported that T & W Landscaping has offered to become a corporate sponsor. He has also made contact with
the Houghton Lake Chamber of Commerce to see about having face painters for the kids during the hot dog roast at the
Pole Barn following the parade.
Blight report:
Even though Gene had no report, he expressed concerns regarding the overall size of structures going up around the
lake. Some discussion followed.
New Business:
Larry, along with Stan Watkins and Craig Cotterman, attended a five-hour workshop on Saturday, June 12, 2010
sponsored by the Muskegon Water Shed on bugs and their effect on our lakes and creeks. With heir newfound knowledge
they determined that Denton Creek has no pollutants in the water. This fall they will be checking the waters above
Shadow Lake.
Rodger reported that all of our homeowner information is now on one database. Billing statements for the 2010-2011 will be mailed in July.
