Call to Order
LJPOA was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by Larry Bittner, President. The meeting took place at the Pole Barn.

Acknowledgement of visitors:
Mr. & Mrs. Bate Springwood were welcomed and introduced by the President.

OLD BUSINESS & UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

DUES:
Rodger Shutter reported that dues are due on 46.5 lots.
34 members have not paid their dues yet.
14 liens have been secured for delinquent dues.
5 lawsuits have been filed for delinquencies.

WEED MANAGEMENT:
Dan distributed Weed Information from Aquatic Nuisance.
Lake needs survey to be conducted in late May/Early June by Aquatic. Larry, Dan and Rocco to go along on survey. Milfoil is not growing yet. Lily pads to be sprayed for those who paid for spraying.

PARK MANAGEMENT:
Wheelchair ramp at Hazelwood Park will be completed by Memorial weekend.
Bridge had to be closed because the handrails were too low and had to be replaced. Habitat for Humanity assisted with the ramps, as did many member volunteers. Permit cost: $168.

Playscape:
Frank Yakes is leading the construction of the playscape for Hazelwood Park.

Beaches:
Jim requested sand to be purchased for Ridgewood and Linwood parks to replace sand lost to erosion. Motion to purchase made by Rodger and 2nd by Jim. Motion approved.

Thanks to Terry Jenks for mowing the grass at Ridgewood Park and at the Pole Barn.

Better Yards are to cut Moosehead, Matchwood, and Hazelwood. Little Willie's has placed the porta potty at Moosehead. Frank Yakes looking into building an enclosure for the potty.

Ray Kohle has been painting the playground equipment at Linwood.

Larry suggested and the board agreed to post the names of our volunteers on the website to let every member know how much we appreciate our volunteers for making our community better.

Tables from the dump have been picked up and are going to be refurbished as replacements for others in the parks.

FISH/DAM MANAGEMENT:
Pat reported that fish have been ordered from Imlay City Fish Farm:
20 gal. shiners
550 hybrid Blue Gill
550 Crappies
Fish to be released on Thursday, May 20th.

Roscommon Road Commission is in charge of the Roscommon Tube. Requests have been made again for a fence to be placed above the tube and extend along side for safety.

The Dam Emergency plan is completed and submitted. Bids are to go out for next dam inspection.

EVENTS:
Jane expressed concern about news not reaching members about this year's registration for the boat parade and the logo contest. Larry will contact the webmaster and put it on the website. In addition, Rodger and Jim will put the information on our entrance signs.

NEW BUSINESS:

Mr. & Mrs. Bates brought to the floor the temporary structure that is on their property. Larry stated that the property restrictions do not permit such structures. The Bates reported that the previous owner assured them that it was okay to have such a structure. The board requested that the Bates provide a letter within 30 days that states that the structure has a permit to be there. The Bates agreed to provide the documentation and plans for a garage to be placed on the site within the next 2 years.

Motion made to adjourn made and seconded. All agreed. Meeting adjourned at 11:30 a.m.

Next meeting to be held on June 20th at the pole barn @ 9:30 a.m.
