Despite the cold temperatures on Saturday, January 24, the sun was shining and the sky was a brilliant blue.
Over one hundred of our lake association members and their guests braved the cold to participate at our annual winter
picnic at the red barn. They arrived both by snowmobiles and cars but everyone filled up on hotdogs, coffee,
hot cider, hot chocolate and just friendly conversation. Rodger Shutter maintained the bonfire outside for those
more inclined to stay outdoors.
Our 50/50 drawing raised $240 with $120 being deposited into our fish fund. The lucky winners of the drawing were:
Ed York-$60.00
Mark James-$36.00
Larry Princinsky-$24.00.
Congratulations to all. We also had a contribution made just to the fish fund. Thank you.
A special thank you also to Terry Jenks for snow plowing the barn area for our picnic and also for maintaining the
snow removal at the boat launch site to make it easier for our fishermen to have access to the lake.
